Man-up Mondays – Wear the Pants with Dockers

Pete and Marty are partnering with Dockers® to try out some pants. And we want you to try some out too. If you go buy some Dockers, or win some from us, you’ll find out they aren’t the khakis you wore 20 years ago.

They are man pants.

And yes, you can win some by commenting below.

So manly, in fact, that we created Man-up Mondays just to show you the studly kind of stuff they are capable of. DIY-in’, mowin’, scootin’, wrenchin’, tea-partyin’ with your daughter, laundry-in’, pedicur…wait…we just want you to vote on the most macho of tasks—then pick the man who Wears the Pants.

Vote in the sidebar —————-> (but you gotta also comment below to win.)

“Hey Pete and Marty, what can I win?”

Dockers® is giving away three “outfits”, one each week. Choose an “outfit” for work, for the weekend, or for golf. I don’t know how you define “outfit”, but Pete and Marty would wear the same thing for all three. And we do, so check us out each week, vote and get a chance to win.

“But I don’t want to wait to win!”

No problem. You can use the exclusive promo code, “DOCKERSMANUP” which entitles you to 30% off on Dockers.com.

30% is a manly freakin’ discount, even if you’re buying a pink shirt to golf in.

Week #3

Marty

Okay, I’ve settled on a pair, the Dockers D3s. I like the fit for work (sitting at the desk) and for the weekend (everything else). I didn’t baby them either, I put them through yard work and the wrath of wrestling with four kids.

So here’s how I Wore the Pants:

I went to work one day this week at True Stories Creative, where my friend Christy brainstorms with me in her vintage Airstream camper. It got a little humid, but my Dockers stayed comfortable.

I perfectly transitioned from work day to movie night with the kids (and my Dockers).

I spent the better part of the weekend in the yard, showing my oldest son how to use the line trimmer. I proceeded to sit on the front deck, in my Dockers, with a cool drink while I passed the torch of yardwork to someone much more eager than me.

Pete

I’ve pretty much put my Dockers into the regular rotation of pants—meaning, it’s pretty much the only pair of pants I wear now. And they’ve held up really good, whether I’m in the basement at the workbench, or on the road for business. No matter what they’re for keeps and won’t be getting much hanger time.

So here’s how I Wore the Pants:

Dockers DIYin' at the basement bench.

Fixing the wall mount swing arm, so I can sit and relax in my D3s.

Cutting some burrs out of unhappy dog paws.

Week #2

Pete

This week my Dockers are feeling worn in like a pretty good pair of jeans, except they look a little more presentable. But the disposal, yard and Cody could care less about presentable…

So here’s how I Wore the Pants:

"Weeding the garden"

Dockers vs. the disposal. Dockers won.

Dockers can hold up to some doggin' in the backyard...

Okay, with the Florida heat setting in, I’m finding it hard to wear the pants, but it hasn’t been too bad—took in a game, toured a factory and tackled a toilet.

So here’s how I Wore the Pants:

I took in a ballgame, and although it was hot, the D3s kept the sun off without overheating. And my Dockers didn't flinch from peanut shrapnel.

I came home one night after work to a running toilet. I installed a new dual flush unit. So, plumbing in Dockers is manly.

I was lucky enough to take a factory tour for a major American company. It was cool to see behind the scenes, and even better in some D3s.

So that’s it for this week. Go vote!!

Week #1

Pete

Alright, my D3 Dockers got a serious break in with some traveling, heat exposure, and playground shenanigans.

So here’s how I Wore the Pants:

I hucked it through the airport to make my cross-country flight. They look good enough to fly in, and comfy enough to run to the next gate.

I wore the pants to a LA Angels game. Yeah it was hot, but not too hot for some D3s.

J and I took over the playground, including a tandem run on the trolley zip line thing. Wearing the pants on the playground required. Probably by law.

This was a pretty busy week in my Dockers. I mostly wore the D3s, which are kinda like denim, but lighter. My wife actually complimented me in them.

So here’s how I Wore the Pants:

I pitched some new business wearing Dockers pants. And won the client!

At work, I pitched some new business wearing Dockers pants. And won the client!

I worked on the roof of project popup camper. I chose the D3s for their splinter-repelling qualities.

I caught some wildlife in the backyard with the kids. Here's a little ringneck snake.
